# Terms of Service

> The terms under which SellAuth Bot is offered.

These terms govern use of the SellAuth AIO Bot ("the Bot"), operated by **\[OPERATOR NAME]**
("we"). By adding the Bot to a Discord server or running any of its commands, you agree to them.

  instance. Everything else is accurate as written.

## 1. What the Bot is

The Bot lets you operate a [SellAuth](https://sellauth.com) storefront from Discord: orders,
inventory, customers, coupons, support tickets, analytics, and purchase panels your buyers use
without leaving your server.

Access is licensed. You need a valid KeyAuth licence issued by us to use any command that touches
a shop.

## 2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

* **Your shop and what you sell through it.** We provide a tool; we are not a party to any sale,
  and we do not process payments.
* **Your credentials.** Your SellAuth API token grants complete control of your shop. Do not
  share it, and rotate it if you believe it has been exposed.
* **Your webhook URL.** It is a credential. Anyone holding it can make the Bot announce events in
  your server. Rotate it with `/webhook regenerate` if it leaks.
* **Who you grant access to.** `/authorize` hands another person your shop entirely.
  `/permissions staff` is narrower but still real access. Both are your decision and your risk.
* **Complying with the law**, with Discord's [Terms of Service](https://discord.com/terms) and
  [Community Guidelines](https://discord.com/guidelines), and with SellAuth's terms.

## 3. What you may not do

* Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Bot without our written permission.
* Share, transfer, or publish your licence key.
* Use the Bot to sell anything unlawful, or anything prohibited by Discord or SellAuth.
* Attempt to access another operator's shop, credentials, webhook URL, or data.
* Attack, overload, or attempt to circumvent the Bot's rate limits, licensing, or permission
  checks.
* Automate the Bot's commands to place load on Discord or SellAuth beyond normal operation.

We may suspend or revoke your licence immediately for any of the above, without refund.

## 4. Availability

The Bot is provided **as is**, with no guarantee of uptime, and we may change, suspend or
discontinue it at any time.

It depends on three services outside our control — Discord, SellAuth and KeyAuth — and an outage
or change in any of them can interrupt or break functionality regardless of anything we do.

## 5. Data

Data handling is described in the [Privacy Policy](/sellauth/privacy), which forms part of these
terms. In short: no message content, no member lists, no presence; credentials encrypted at rest;
and the operator of the instance can technically decrypt them, which is stated plainly there
rather than implied.

## 6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profit, lost sales, lost or
duplicated stock, mis-delivered products, refunds, chargebacks, or any indirect or consequential
loss arising from use of the Bot.

  The Bot performs real, irreversible actions on your shop — refunds, cancellations, stock
  changes, deliveries. Commands that move money or reach a customer require you to retype the
  record's ID to confirm, precisely because they cannot be undone. **You are responsible for what
  you confirm.**

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

## 7. Termination

You may stop at any time by removing the Bot from your servers.

We may terminate your licence for breach of these terms, for abuse of the service, or if
continuing to provide it becomes impractical. Where the reason is not abuse, we will make a
reasonable effort to give notice.

On termination your stored credentials stop being usable. See the [Privacy Policy](/sellauth/privacy)
for what is retained.

## 8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above
and announced through the Bot's changelog. Continuing to use the Bot after a change means you
accept it.
