Invite the bot

The invite uses the bot and applications.commands scopes. AEGIS asks for the Discord permissions its moderation and containment actions need — role and channel management, kick/ban/timeout, and audit log access. See Installation & Permissions for exactly what’s requested and how AEGIS decides who can use what once it’s in your server.
2

Run /aegis setup

Run /aegis setup in your server to open the configuration panel. This is where you set your initial admin/staff mappings, log channels, and which protections are turned on.
3

Finish configuring

Map your Discord roles onto AEGIS permissions and review each protection’s enforcement mode before you rely on it. See Configuration for both — new guilds start with safe defaults, so nothing takes action on your server until you decide it should.

After setup

/help shows the commands available to you in that server. The dashboard mirrors the same permissions for a web view of cases, incidents, signals, and audit history. See Commands for the full command reference.
