Is KeyAuth Bot for you?
KeyAuth Bot is built for servers selling software licensed through KeyAuth. It’s a good fit if you:- Want customers to redeem a key, check their subscription, or reset their own hardware ID without opening a ticket for every machine change
- Want a support team that can look up, adjust, and manage licenses from Discord instead of the KeyAuth dashboard
- Need granular staff permissions instead of one all-or-nothing admin role
- Want Discord roles kept in sync with subscription status automatically, including when the dashboard is edited directly
What it does
Self-service
Members link their KeyAuth account, redeem keys, check subscriptions and HWID status, and
reset their own hardware ID — no password ever typed into Discord.
License Operations
A support control plane: license lookup with an action panel, HWID and subscription
management, account linking, and reconciliation against the dashboard.
Granular permissions
17 capabilities mapped to Discord roles rather than a single admin bit — the person who can
check an expiry isn’t automatically the person who can delete an account.
Role synchronisation
Discord roles follow subscription status automatically — on link, on expiry, on manual sync,
and during scheduled reconciliation.
How it is built
Two decisions shape everything else. Nobody ever types a hardware ID. A Discord bot cannot see a user’s hardware, so it must never invent one./account resethwid clears the HWID server-side through the seller API, and KeyAuth
binds whatever machine logs in next — the user just opens their loader and signs in.
Nobody ever types a KeyAuth password. Account ownership is proven once, by license key, and
remembered against the user’s Discord ID. Follow-up commands resolve the KeyAuth account from
that link. The one exception is /account register, where a user chooses a new password for a
brand-new account.
KeyAuth remains authoritative. The License Operations layer never becomes the source of truth
for license state — everything it stores locally is either a clearly-marked cache or data KeyAuth
has no concept of at all, such as local reset policy, staff notes, and an audit timeline of what
the bot itself did.
