If something is not working

Check the module is enabled in =config, and that V.O.I.D’s role sits above any role it has to manage. Discord refuses role changes from a lower role regardless of permissions.
Global slash registration can take up to an hour to propagate after the bot joins. Prefix commands work immediately.
Panels survive restarts, but individual actions expire after a while so a stale button cannot act on state that has since changed. Reopen the panel and try again.
During the alpha, V.O.I.D leaves servers that are not on the access list, and posts the reason before it goes. Request access and re-invite.

Request alpha access

V.O.I.D only joins servers on the access list during the alpha. Ask for access before inviting the bot — otherwise it will explain why and leave. Include your server ID in the request. To copy it: enable Developer Mode in Discord (User Settings → Advanced), then right-click your server and choose Copy Server ID.

Request access

Ask for your server to be added to the alpha access list.

Reporting a problem

Useful things to include:
  • What you ran and what happened instead
  • Your server ID and roughly when it happened
  • Whether the module involved is enabled in =config
If a command failed with an error message, include it verbatim — errors carry a trace id that lets the operators find the exact request in the logs.

Checking whether it is us

void.oauth.fyi/status reports live component health. If a dependency is degraded it says so there, which usually explains a bot that has gone quiet. Note that V.O.I.D can also be put into maintenance mode deliberately, during which commands are paused and the bot replies saying so.
